The impact your smile has on the way you feel about yourself can be overwhelming. Dental problems are among the most common reasons for not smiling in public. Cosmetic dental options can help you get back that radiant smile and self-esteem by improving your oral health and appearance.
TEETH WHITENING
When you want to improve the appearance of your teeth, cosmetic whitening is an option. In most cases, teeth can be whitened by using a tray that fits over the top of your teeth and contains gel or light-sensitive gel. The gel will gradually remove stains on your teeth while giving them a brighter appearance.
The most effective form of whitening at White River Dental is ZOOM! Whitening, where a hydrogen peroxide gel is used with an ultraviolet light to remove stains. For other at home options, ask your hygienist for personalized recommendations at your next cleaning appointment!
INVISALIGN
Invisalign is a clear and removable dental aligner that can straighten teeth. It is custom made for each patient, so no two sets of Invisalign are alike. The aligners are worn for about 20-22 hours per day (with the exception of eating, brushing and flossing) to gradually move teeth into position over time.
Invisalign uses a series of clear aligners that gently guide your teeth into place as they shift throughout treatment. Each set lasts about two weeks before you receive a new one during your recall appointments. Patients will replace the trays until the desired result is achieved—and then continue wearing them for about six months afterward as an added precaution against relapse.
Invisalign can improve self-confidence, contribute to better oral health, and enhanced appearance.
VENEERS
Veneers are thin shells of porcelain that are bonded to the front of the teeth. Veneers can be used to improve the appearance of crooked teeth, gaps between teeth, discolored teeth, and more.
Veneers are not a permanent solution but rather a cosmetic enhancement that can last anywhere from five years to 10 years. They’re made from porcelain or composite resin materials and require two appointments: one for preparation work by your dentist and another visit where the veneers will be placed on the teeth.
IMPLANTS
Dental implants are one of the most functional and cosmetic replacement options for missing teeth. They are artificial teeth that are placed into the jawbone, where they fuse with your natural bone and become permanent fixtures.
Dental implants can be used to replace one or more missing teeth, to support dentures, or as an alternative to removable partial dentures (RPDs). In some cases, they may also be used in conjunction with traditional bridges or fixed retainers.
Cosmetic dental options can improve your smile and your self-esteem. Whether you want to change the color of your teeth, straighten them or replace missing teeth, cosmetic dental options are available to help you achieve a smile you are happy with.
