WRD Dental Assisting School prepares students for entry-level positions as a chairside assistant in a dental office. The dental assistant training program is a course designed to teach the students the skills and knowledge necessary to assist dentists and hygienists in all chairside procedures. WRD Dental Assisting School covers the following topics:
Students are required to either purchase or rent the necessary textbooks for the course. You may purchase your textbooks from WRD Dental Assisting, Amazon, the publisher site, or elsewhere as long as it is the same edition as listed below. Required textbooks:
WRD Dental Assisting students are required to complete a 300-hour externship program. The externship program will give students the opportunity to have practical, on-the-job experience. Externs will work under direct supervision of qualified personnel at the externship site and under general supervision of the WRD Dental Assisting faculty. Dental assistant students must complete their externship training to fulfill course requirements.
